Roughing It...With Comfort!
This picture is one of my favorites, not for what it shows, but what it doesn't show. It was 105 degrees on July 4th weekend. We were camped at least 4 miles from electricity. But we have a generator (behind trailer) and had colored lights on our awning, a smoker is cooking a turkey for dinner, and it was 75 degrees inside with the air conditioning on. Of course we had to drive into town 20 miles away and buy 10 gallons of gas and bring back 10 gallons of water for our showers, etc every day. We even had a weed eater along to trim the campsite! but since it was really to hot to spend any time outdoors this was our last extreme heat camping trip. We decided that since we were staying inside watching tv anyway we would be better off at home with the big tv and surround sound and more room to move.
